Heralds of the Gospel are needed, who are experts in humanity, who have penetrated
the depths of the hearts of men and women today, who share in their joys and hopes,
their anguishes and sorrows, but who are at the same time contemplatives, in love
with God.
— Pope John Paul II
If priests have the names of any applicants, please submit them in the first instance
to Fr John Armitage (see right).
The applicant will be interviewed by the Bishop and his panel in the early part
of the year. It would be helpful if those who wish to become priests would contact
their local priest before the 31st December. This allows time for the necessary
preliminary interviews, medical and the taking up of references. Prospective candidates
who miss this date may still contact the Director of Vocations at any time.
If you are interested in learning more about diocesan priestly vocation, please visit the
Brentwood Diocesan Vocations website.
