Every Parish is a spiritual oasis. Our Lord is hidden there, waiting for us to visit Him. He is there to give us daily Mass, to celebrate the sacraments and to offer guidance, comfort and renewal. His presence is indeed a gift to each of us. We need to ensure it is there for us, our children our grandchildren. A parish has no other means of financial support than the offertory and through donations.

Thanks is giving

The Diocesan administration has a wider pastoral role in its work. It is concerned with a variety of activities:

Education on issues that affect the Catholic ethos of its schools and involvement in national matters
Liturgy to promote active participation in furtherance of Christian life
Youth to strengthen their faith to follow us as the next generation serving the Diocese and their Parish
Ecumenism to work for Christian unity and encourage co-operation and dialogue
Justice & Social Responsibility to co-ordinate work in Justice & Peace, Marriage, family life and Pastoral care
Pilgrimages to arrange and fund pilgrimages to Lourdes, Walsingham and Bradwell
