Bishop leads Legion of Mary on Aylesford Pilgrimage

In early May Bishop Alan led the Legion of Mary on a pilgrimage to Aylesford. Twenty three coaches carried around 1,200 people from across the country to take part in the pilgrimage. The number attending was higher than last year when 900 people took part.  During the day, Bishop Alan, who is a Marist, spoke about the Legion of Mary and Edel Quinn, a missionary. Says Questa Newill, who was present: “He reminded us that when we go to Mary we always find Jesus.”

The Legion of Mary is a worldwide lay organisation living and fulfilling the ideals of the Decree on the Lay Apostolate. Its members aim to help their parish priest in all forms of evangelisation and pastoral care so as to bring all peoples to Christ through Mary.
