Webinars on Premises Related Issues
A series of webinars is being run in 2026/27 on premises related issues; one each half-term.
Course content:
This course, led by PCH Associates, provides school leaders and those commissioning works with a clear understanding of their responsibilities under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM). It explains the role of the school as the “client”, the duties involved in planning and managing projects safely, and the importance of appointing competent designers and contractors . The course also covers key documentation, including pre-construction information and construction phase plans, and highlights how effective early planning can reduce risk, avoid incidents, and deliver better project outcomes. By the end, participants will understand how to discharge their CDM duties confidently and ensure construction works are carried out safely and compliantly.
Who should attend?
This is an important course for persons responsible for managing asbestos in schools and governors, particularly chairs of governors and those in H&S roles.
Facilitator : David Gatheral, Diocesan Buildings Development Officer
