The next lunchtime music recital at Brentwood Cathedral on Wednesday 9 July will showcase the classical guitar skills of Tom Hodgkinson. Organised by Brentwood Cathedral Music, the recital will take place at 12 noon instead of the usual time of 1pm.
Tom Hodgkinson is a local boy from Brentwood who is currently studying in Graz Austria at the prestigious University of Music and Performing Arts. During Tom’s development as a musician he caught the attention of the legendary guitarist John Williams who now provides him with regular mentoring. In 2022 Tom was named the Essex Young Musician of the Year.
His programme will last an hour and includes music by:-
Johann Sebastian Bach (Chaconne);
Antonio José (Sonata);
and Richard Rodney Bennett
