o died on Sunday morning at Broomfield Hospital after having recently received the Last Rites. We offer our prayerful sympathy to his wife Kate and their family.
Fr David was born on 11 March in 1942. He was ordained in the Church of England in 1971 and worked in several parishes, latterly as Rector of Corringham. He was received into full communion with the Catholic Church in 1995 and studied for the priesthood at St John’s Seminary, Wonersh. He was ordained on 24 May 1997 by Bishop McMahon at Brentwood Cathedral. He served as assistant priest in Grays 1997-1998; priest-in-charge at Witham from 1998-2020 (parish priest 2016). He retired in 2016.
Details of Fr David’s funeral will follow once arrangements have been made. May he rest in peace.
