This course has been designed to enable Diocesan Headteachers to develop their understanding of the role of the Catholic school within the mission of the Church, to gain insight into the complexities of headship in a Catholic institution and understand how the Diocese supports them in their work.
Five sessions will run from September 2023 to May 2024; each session taking place per half term on a Thursday from 15:15 – 17:45 in the Conference Hall at Cathedral House, Brentwood.
The remaining scheduled dates are as follows:
- 16th November 2023;
- 29th February 2024;
- 25th April 2024;
- 23rd May 2024;
- 27th June 2024.

- Understanding roles and responsibilities of the Brentwood Diocesan Education Service (BDES) team
- Catholic School Inspection and the role of the Diocese in Section 5 and 8 OFSTED inspections
