ADoRE (Alton Day of Renewal) continue their monthly programme on 22 March with a morning retreat on Zoom, open to anyone.

This meeting is the latest in their series of ‘PILGRIMS OF HOPE’ sessions for 2025, in which, month by month, they will be moving forward with expectant hope in the providence of God; a firm trust in the victory of Christ; and joy in the blessings and gifts of the Holy Spirit for revitalising the Church.
This session focusses on the important truth that the Bible is an essential roadmap for our life-long journey of Faith.

ADoRE leader Alastair Emblem explains: “Although all the recent Popes have encouraged us to read the Bible, it seems that a large number of Catholics are still not reading it regularly. Our March session will encourage participants to become familiar with God’s Word in Scripture and practise listening to and trusting in what God is saying. With the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and the guidance of Church teaching, we can discern God’s word for us and apply it in our lives.”

The March speaker is Ros Powell, a Catholic Evangelist with a healing, deliverance and prophetic ministry. She also has a powerful prison ministry: along with her team she speaks and ministers healing and restoration to inmates throughout the UK.

As well as the inspiring talk, there will be live-streamed Mass and Adoration, Prophecy, Praise, and Prayer for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be fanned into a flame, so that parishioners can be beacons of hope in the darkness of our present age.

ADoRE (Alton Day of Renewal) is a monthly meeting of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Formed in 1975, it is now one of the longest continually running Charismatic Days of Renewal in Britain, dedicated to the encouragement of a personal relationship with God, through Jesus, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

It is affiliated with CHARIS, an international body established by Pope Francis in 2019 to support all those working to share the current of grace which is the charismatic renewal. “Charismatic Renewal is a great force at the service of the proclamation of the Gospel, in the joy of the Holy Spirit.” – Pope Francis June 2014
