Pentecost Sunday, 9th June

If you are fed up of hearing bad news and wonder what it would be like to see a glimpse of heaven on earth we would love you to join thousands of others to celebrate our faith and pray for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.  This event has a family friendly festival from 12 pm – 4 pm and from 4 pm – 6 pm an Ecumenical service with Cardinal Vincent and other Christian leaders. For more information or to register your interest please visit https://www.thykingdomcome.global/trafalgarsquare.

Brentwood Diocese is hosting the Catholic Prayer Tent with the Dowry of Mary tour being the main part of the presentation.  We will be engaging people to come and pray the rosary and mingling in the crowds to encourage them over.  Can you be there to be a witness to your faith, chat with those who are looking for more information about Jesus Christ and join with thousands of others in prayer?  If you can help or are going along please get in contact – [email protected]

Volunteers

If you are London based or are planning to be at Trafalgar Square and would like to help, once you have registered using the link above please contact Adele for more information about how to volunteer.

She says: “We would love to offer Confession to Catholics attending so would particularly like to hear from priests who could give 30mins to hear confessions on Pentecost Sunday afternoon.”

In recent years a wave of prayer that has taken its name from the Our Father, called ‘Thy Kingdom Come’, has been spreading around the world with individuals, families and churches of every Christian denomination praying for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Here is an invitation from the Archbishop of Canterbury https://www.thykingdomcome.global/resources/thy-kingdom-come-pledge-pray-more-people-know-jesus

and what Cardinal Vincent expects when he prays ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ https://www.thykingdomcome.global/resources/what-do-we-mean-when-we-pray-thy-kingdom-come-cardinal-vincent-nichols-archbishop-justin

Pray as you can

One of the best things about this is the invitation to pray as you normally would, but for the Holy Spirit to invigorate the lives of people we know and love. If you, your family or your parish would like to take part in this, you can pledge to pray via https://www.thykingdomcome.global/ and help to light up the world.

If your parish is organising an event to help the community pray together during this time why not publicise it via https://www.thykingdomcome.global/events. There is even a tool to help create a video invitation for your event on social media gochattervideos.com/thy-kingdom-come/

Keep in touch

Thy Kingdom Come would love to keep you updated via our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/TKCCatholicChurch/ and hear what you are doing during this time of prayer.
