As the sixtieth anniversary of the conclusion of Vatican II approaches, Fr Adrian Graffy, parish priest in East London, and a Member of the Pontifical Biblical Commission, is to lead a study day entitled ‘Vatican II and its Popes’.
The vast majority of Catholics are unaware of the story of Vatican II and its importance. This study day considers the contribution of a series of Popes to the work of the Council. A further study day will be given by Dr Peter de Mey on 11 October addressing the topic ‘From Vatican II to a Synodal Church’.
The event will take place at the Catholic parish of Christ the Eternal High Priest in Gidea Park (RM2 6DH) on Saturday 20 September from 10.30am. Entrance is free, and a recording of the talk will be available subsequently on www.whatgoodnews.org
