Acclaimed biblical scholar Dom Henry Wansbrough is to give a livestreamed talk on Saturday 23 January at 11am. Entitled ‘The Adventures of a Biblical Translator’, the talk will be given under the auspices of the Catholic Biblical Association of Great Britain and will be livestreamed via www.ssppilford.org.uk.
Dom Henry has worked on the Bible for decades, was the editor of the New Jerusalem Bible in 1985 and has recently published the Revised New Jerusalem Bible. A biblical scholar of worldwide standing, he has been involved internationally in the work of producing suitable texts for the English lectionary, and is also a former member of the Pontifical Biblical Commission.
