Brentwood Cathedral Music is looking forward to welcoming young soprano Madeline Robinson for a lunchtime recital on 22 September. Madeline recently won the Essex Young Musician of the Year 2021. This annual competition is organised by Ongar Music Club.
Madeline will be accompanied by Rachael Plunkett on the piano during the recital, which will commence at 1pm. It will finish at about 2pm to allow time for the presentation of Madeline’s Essex Young Musician Trophy.
The programme title is ‘The Close of Summer’ and will consist of the following pieces:-

Edvard Grieg: Ich liebe Dich; Ein Traumwetter
Charles Ives: Feldeinsamkeit
Franz Schubert: Die Junge Nonne
Jonathan Dove: Between Your Sheets
George Bizet: Adieu de l’hotesse arabe
Benjamin Britten: The Highland Balou; The Last Rose of Summer
Vincenzo Bellini (I Puritani): Qui la voce sua soave…vien diletto in ciel la luna
