The next Gidea Park Faith Talk is due to take place at 7 pm on Wednesday 20 September in the hall at Christ the Eternal High Priest Catholic Church, Gidea Park, RM2 6DH. It will be about the dedication of a church.

A church is the place where the community gathers to hear the word of God, to offer prayers of intercession and praise, and above all to celebrate the holy mysteries. The altar stands as a sign of Christ himself, who is the priest, the victim and the altar of his own sacrifice. Fr David Manson, parish priest and liturgical scholar, who studied at the Pontifical Academy of Sant’Anselmo in Rome, will give a short talk to explain the significance of this liturgical service.

All are warmly invited, from the parish and beyond. All are welcome. Tea and coffee will be available from 6.30 pm. The event can also be viewed on line simply by going to: www.whatgoodnews.org
