“Love the stranger, for you were once strangers”. This call from Scripture sits at the heart of Caritas Brentwood’s work with refugees and people seeking asylum. Join us to hear directly about the challenges facing displaced people in our communities and the practical, welcoming response being led by parishes and volunteers across Essex and East London.
The last of Caritas Brentwood’s in-person events for this year invites parish groups and parishioners to explore their response to refugees and those seeking asylum, and consider how Caritas can support parish communities in this area.

Attendees will hear a talk on Catholic Social Teaching from the Sisters of St Joseph of Tarbes and lived experience from young adults in the Shpresa Programme. (Shpresa is a charity that promotes the participation and contribution of Albanian refugees in the UK).
