Venue: Via Zoom invitation
Overview: This twilight session will provide delegates with an overview of the requirements of the Admissions Code in relation to school admissions. This legal perspective will be set against the model documentation provided by the CES that the diocese has asked all schools to use.
Who is this training suitable for?
This training will be very useful for Headteachers, Deputy Headteachers, Governors, those involved in the administration of admissions and Clergy.
These training sessions will be facilitated by Theresa Kerr, a Partner at the legal firm, Winckworth Sherwood. Both sessions are identical and are designed to develop knowledge and understanding of the admissions process and associated legal requirements. We are running the training twice to provide as much opportunity for schools to attend. The training will encourage reflection, interaction, discussion and the sharing of best practice.
Members of the BDES Team will also be in attendance to support discussion and to provide a diocesan perspective where necessary.

The cost of this training session is subsidised by the diocese. Each school can have two delegates in attendance. The cost for the first delegate is £25 and the second delegate is free. The training is free for Clergy.
All slides referred to in the training will be shared with delegates following the training.
Please note that places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Closing date for bookings:
3pm on the previous working day prior to each session – subject to there still being some availability.
Please note that both sessions are identical so attendance is only necessary on one of the dates.
