What name can adequately describe the sacrament of the mercy of God? How did this sacramental encounter with the forgiving Jesus of the Gospels evolve in the life of the Church? How does it relate to our ideas of human growth and maturity? How can stumbling blocks to the use of the sacrament be overcome?

On Saturday 18 June from 11 am Fr Gerard Bradley will consider these questions in a study day entitled ‘Your sins are forgiven: exploring the sacrament of pardon and peace’.

Fr Gerard is parish priest of Old Coulsdon in the archdiocese of Southwark. He taught Liturgy and Spirituality for many years at St John’s Seminary, Wonersh.
