Caritas Brentwood shares Lent resources for all

Caritas Diocese of Brentwood is sharing a collection of resources for people of all ages this Lent. Parishioners, school staff and students are invited to participate in several activities during Lent to help those most in need and celebrate the beauty of the local areas around us.
The resources provided include a Lenten giving calendar, a photo challenge and Stations of the Cross for young people. Caritas is also encouraging parishes and schools to organise their own sponsored sleepout to raise funds for charities which support the homeless locally.
  • Lenten Giving Calendar: designed to encourage people to collect items for your local foodbank
  • Stations of the Cross: for young people, aimed at Confirmation groups or school age Yr 9-13
  • Photo challenge: for all ages young and old, a chance to see God in the environment around us
  • List of Lenten resources/events from other charitable organisations
  • The encouragement for parishes and schools to host their own sponsored sleepout.

In his email to parishes, Caritas Development Officer Michael Chambers adds: “May this season of Lent be a time of prayer, reflection and renewed hope for you and your community.”
