The Guild of St Stephen, Brentwood Diocese warmly invites all altar servers and their families to the Mass for Altar Servers on Saturday 19 September 2026 at 11.30am, taking place at St Joseph the Worker, Hutton (CM13 1BJ).
Servers are asked to arrive by 11.15am and to bring their own alb/cassock and cotta. Parking is available onsite, and the nearest train station is Shenfield(Elizabeth Line & National Rail).
Following Mass, refreshments will be served in the Parish Hall, after which the Guild of St Stephen Brentwood Diocese AGM will take place.
This special Mass will be offered for all altar servers across the Diocese and in thanksgiving for John McCormack, marking 36 years of dedicated service as Chairman of the Guild. We hope many will join us in expressing gratitude for his commitment and leadership.
This diocesan gathering is an important occasion for our altar servers, offering them the opportunity to come together in prayer and fellowship. After the Mass, refreshments will be provided, allowing MCs, senior altar servers and altar servers from across the Diocese to meet one another and share experiences.
Following refreshments, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Guild of St Stephen, Brentwood Diocese, will take place. MCs and senior altar servers are warmly encouraged to attend. The AGM is an important occasion for shaping the future direction of the Guild and, notably, for electing a new chairman for the coming years.
