A Year 2 pupil from St Thomas More Catholic Primary School in Saffron Walden has achieved national recognition after being named a runner-up in the Adoremus competition, linked to the 2026 National Eucharistic Congress.
Filippo’s work was selected from more than 1,700 entries submitted from across the country, a fantastic achievement that reflects his creativity and thoughtful response to the theme of the Eucharist. The school is delighted to see his work recognised on a national stage and is incredibly proud of his success.
Filippo recently attended a special presentation ceremony alongside the other prize winners. The event was attended by Archbishop Richard Moth and Fr Patrick van der Vorst, curator and Christian art specialist. Filippo was also joined by his mother and a representative from the school to celebrate the occasion.
Congratulations to Filippo on this wonderful achievement!
