In keeping with the spirit of our Diocesan Vision, the aim of the Department is ‘to enable people to become more aware of their baptismal vocation', as we endeavour to offer support, formation and encouragement to parishes. Adult religious education in all its diversity is a priority. The main areas in which we support and help parishes are: the training and formation of catechists, pastoral assistants, offering Diocesan days and short courses on various aspects of Faith formation, spirituality, weekend residential and day retreats, workshops for Children’s Liturgy of the Word as well as the provision of resources.
