Spirituality
The starting point of our Diocesan Vision is to ensure that people are able to appreciate the implications of their relationship with God and to grow in that relationship.

Spiritual Direction is designed to help others to awaken to the mystery of God in
all of life, and to respond to that discovery in a growing relationship with God.
Spiritual direction offers the opportunity to become more attentive to what God
is doing in our lives and how we can respond to God.
St Ignatius of Loyola puts before us the following questions which are an integral
part of our growth in holiness: What have I done for Christ? What am I doing for
Christ? What shall I do for Christ?
‘A Week of Accompanied Prayer’ in a parish is an opportunity to experience personal
accompaniment by a companion, who has training and experience in spiritual direction.
It is a 'retreat' experience in the midst of daily life.
We support spiritual directors in their important and necessary ministry
in the Church.
An Annual Diocesan Day on Spirituality is facilitated by renowned speakers, and
retreats are offered throughout the year.
