The whole community of St John Payne Catholic School was delighted on the Feast of St John Payne to have the school’s service and work for charity royally recognised, with Mr Coen and Miss Squires attending the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla, The Princess Royal, and The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. St John Payne has continuously supported charities such as CAFOD and Brentwood Catholic Children’s Society.
The National Anthem greeted the arrival of members of the Royal Family, with guests then welcome to stroll the beautiful gardens and enjoy refreshments accompanied by music from traditional brass and military bands. It was a beautiful day, providing recognition of the school’s service to Catholic education within the Diocese of Brentwood.
