Our Lady of the Rosary and St Patrick’s Church, Walthamstow is inviting you to all all-night vigil on the first Friday of every month, starting on 2 September. The vigil is in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. “The Christian ministry of prayer for the world has become an urgent need in our generation,” says assistant priest Fr Freddie Warner. “People are losing heart and this is about reparative prayer. Asking God to repair what we have done in the world through global warming and the cruelty of war. All are welcome. Please do come and offer prayer and sacrifice with us. Come for as long as you wish.”
The vigil will begin with Mass of the Sacred Heart at 9pm and it will finish at 5am with Mass of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It includes scripture readings, Rosaries, tea/coffee break, Anointing of the Sick, Confessions, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Procession of Light.
