We are pleased to invite you to the Diocese of Brentwood Conference for governors at De Rougemont Manor in Warley, held in appreciation of the important work undertaken by school governors and to provide a valuable opportunity for governors across the Diocese to network and learn together.

The Conference will include a mix of speakers and workshops as well as a buffet lunch.

Governors will be able to choose 2 out of 3 workshops:

  • How governors can support staff wellbeing – led by Cathy McKenna, Secondary Schools Link Adviser
  • Exclusion: the role of the governing body – led by Julie Keating, Education Access Manager, Essex County Council
  • Working in partnership with parents – led by Maria Shepherd, Deputy Director and Catherine Harwood, Primary Schools Link Adviser

Rosemary Lovatt, NLG and NLG Advocate for East of England and NE London will be leading an afternoon interactive session for all governors on support and challenge: holding school leaders to account.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Should the conference be oversubscribed priority will be given for up to two governors from each school.

We have been keen to keep the cost as low as possible so there is a very competitive charge of £50 per governor.
