THE PARABLES OF LUKE

Luke’s gospel, which we are reading on Sundays in 2022, contains some of the most beautiful and moving parables of Jesus.

A Gidea Park Faith Talk on the Parables of Luke will be broadcast by live stream on Wednesday 21 September from 7 pm. Our distinguished speaker is Deacon Sean Loone, well-known in the Archdiocese of Birmingham for his work in education and in evangelisation. Sean will speak about the parables in the Gospel of Luke, which we shall be hearing at Sunday Mass as we continue through Year C of the lectionary.

To listen to the presentation live simply go to www.whatgoodnews.org  There is no charge and no booking is needed. The recording of the talk will be available on the same website in due course.

Deacon Sean Loone is chaplain to several schools and lectures part time at Saint Mary’s College, Oscott, the seminary to the Archdiocese of Birmingham. He has also written several books, the most recent being ‘Words of Life – The Parables of Jesus for People Today’.  All profits from the book go to CAFOD. It is available in dual format from Amazon as well as Waterstones and WH Smith’s.
