Bishop Alan also talked about those catechumens and candidates who would normally have become part of the Church at the Easter Vigil. He said: “At this point in the liturgy we would normally welcome, receive and baptise so many people seeking to move further into the mysteries of the Catholic Christian faith. For those people in our diocese I pray with all my heart tonight. I know there will be a time, hopefully soon, when you can move forward in the faith.”
