Concerned by the negative effects mobile phone use can have on children, Our Lady of Lourdes School has implemented a successful mobile phone pledge, encouraging parents to delay the purchase of smartphones until secondary school.

The school is launching this national initiative in memory of Sir David, a past pupil who believed children should learn not just how democracy works, but why it matters.
