All volunteers who work directly with children and/or vulnerable adults have to have a valid DBS certificate before they begin to volunteer. The certificate needs renewal every three years.

 

All forms are mandatory in the Diocese except for the online update service form. The complete DBS application is offered by the government at no cost to volunteers or the Diocese. The online update service minimises the application process at time of renewal. It is something we encourage all volunteers to join.

 

NEW VOLUNTEERS –

Application form (lilac form or a link for online application form obtained from Antoinette). This is the only form not available on this website because the forms are individually numbered. The information needed can equally be completed online instead of completing this form.

* Antoinette will be able to renew the existing DBS on the database, and the applicant can use the same existing paper certificate so no ID verification is needed
